Canadian Child and Youth Friendly Community Network Breakfast
The Society for Children and Youth of BC, along with several partner
agencies, is forming the Canadian Child and Youth Friendly Communities
Network. The Child and Youth Friendly Communities Network is based on the
guiding principle that communities must evolve to provide elements that
contribute to the physical, social, emotional and spiritual growth and
development of children and youth. Over the last decade, the understanding
of how communities support the growth and development of children and young
people has increased enormously. The evidence is clear: it does take a
village to raise a child.
