Sustainability

A detailed sustainability plan will be developed as part of the Network’s strategic planning process.

Three key elements will include:

• The development of programs that attract other funding sources, such as those from corporations and private foundations in Canada.
• The sale and marketing of programs/materials to municipalities, educational institutions (universities and colleges), corporations, and non governmental agencies across Canada.
• The development of ‘consulting’ services to communities needing planning support and technical assistance to become ‘child friendly’.

It should be noted that the partner organizations are themselves self-sustaining.  Once it is operating, the network will be able to bring together other groups to complete particular projects, with a consequent efficiency and cost saving to each member organization.
