The Convention on the Rights of the Child and Public Policy: Perspectives on the Rights of Children with Disabilities in British Columbia
Do children with disabilities have different rights than other children? How well does public policy entrench the rights of children with disabilities?
These questions are examined by focusing the lens of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child on law and policy affecting children with disabilities in British Columbia. This report is intended to illustrate how those responsible for developing and implementing public policy (and those who seek to influence these processes) can use the Convention as a tool to enhance the realization of rights for children with disabilities. |
